We believe that all aspects of gardening, landscaping and construction are important and should serve to enhance the overall beauty of the surroundings. Necessities such as stairs, driveways and retaining walls are seen as opportunities, not merely as mundane construction projects. It is usually just as easy to build something beautiful as not, and it often doesn’t need to cost any more than what would have been purely functional. A home is, ideally, an extension of its owner…with subtle complexities. We believe that the best designs balance hard- and softscaping aspects, so that neither overwhelms the other. We use all types of materials, with an emphasis on interesting combinations. Garden styles can be eclectic or purist in form, traditional or modern. Our plants come from near and far, and are always carefully selected & combined with the seasons and the future in mind.
